Ferdinand Heimatfest Teen Ambassador

The Ferdinand Heimatfest selects a Teen Ambassador annually for its fest. The ambassador will receive a scholarship for $500.00. There will also be a runner-up receiving $150.00. The application is open to all Juniors and Seniors living in the Southeast Dubois School Corporation and enrolled in a secondary education curriculum. The recipient will be chosen by the Kiwanis Club of Ferdinand the week before Heimatfest, June 21 and 22, and announced during the Heimatfest on Saturday Night.

To apply for this honor please stop by the front office at Forest Park Jr/Sr High School to pick up an application form. The title and scholarship will be awarded based upon school and community service, but other factors will be reviewed as well. In addition, the Kiwanis Club of Ferdinand will have a group of its members meet with the candidates individually to learn more about the services they have provided.

Please mail all entry forms to P.O. Box 133, Ferdinand, IN 47532 once completed. The deadline for entry is May 12, 2019.

The Teen Ambassador will be responsible for being present at the Heimatfest where they will be recognized, and be expected to participate in announcing winners of various contests, introducing one of the musical acts, etc. Specific instructions are listed on the application form.

Ferdinand Heimatfest Ambassador

The Ferdinand Heimatfest is seeking the community’s help in choosing the Ambassador(s) for the 2019 Ferdinand Heimatfest sponsored by MasterBrand Cabinets. For consideration, the nominee(s) must be someone who has given generously in their time to help promote Ferdinand. Anyone can nominate an individual or couple to be considered for selection. 

To submit a nomination, send a letter listing the nominee’s name(s), along with a short statement as to why this individual or couple is deserving of the honor. Letter’s of nomination may be mailed via conventional mail to the Ferdinand Heimatfest Committee, c/o Ambassador, PO Box 133, Ferdinand, IN 47532, or by email to Sue Fink at finkster@psci.net. Nominations must be received by May 6. 

The 2019 Ferdinand Heimatfest Ambassador will be chosen at the committee’s May meeting and announced in short time.

 

The annual Ferdinand Heimatfest will be bringing the community together with the best food, drinks, activities, and entertainment on June 21-22, 2019

The Ferdinand Heimatfest's Mission is to enable Ferdinand, Indiana to prosper by helping Dubois County grow. Each year we take the money raised through Heimatfest and donate that money to the Ferdinand Community Endowment and the Dubois County Community Foundation.
