About the Heimatfest Committee

Who and Why

The Heimatfest committee is a group of volunteers that aims to grow the Ferdinand Heimatfest attendance year over year. The hope is that people from surrounding areas will come to visit Ferdinand for the weekend, see the strong community support and benefits that Ferdinand has to offer, and start thinking about Dubois County as a place to live and work. In the same line of thought, the Heimatfest committee want to welcome back people who were raised in the area and have since moved away to visit and witness the commitment to progress, coming to the same conclusion.

Our dedicated, volunteer committee members include:

Neil Weyer

Lori Weyer

Bryce Klem

Derek Schlachter

Evan Daunhauer

Enable Ferdinand to Prosper by Helping Dubois County Grow

The Ferdinand Heimatfest’s Mission is to enable Ferdinand, Indiana to prosper by helping Dubois County grow. Each year we take the money raised through Heimatfest and donate that money to the Ferdinand Community Endowment and the Dubois County Community Foundation.

We are so thankful to have a supportive community ready and willing to step up and volunteer time and donation resources to make the Ferdinand Heimatfest possible each year!

Questions? Send us a message here and a member of our committee will get back to you as soon as possible.
